Daniel Boucher

Born in Montreal, Canada, on October 7, 1971, Daniel Boucher is a Quebec rock singer. During his studies in civil engineering, he discovered his passion for the stage at Cégeps en spectacle, held at Cégep Ahuntsic in Montreal in 1991. He was a finalist at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée in 1996, winning top honors in 1997. In autumn 1999, he released his first album, Dix Mille Matins, including his first hit "La Désise " . In 2001, this song won the Felix for Song of the Year at ADISQ, awarded to the most popular radio hit of recent months. Also in 2001, he recorded the song "Chez nous " in front of an audience at the Fête de la St-Jean, which became another classic in his repertoire. His second album, La Patente , was released in 2004, and "Le Vent soufflait mes pellicules " quickly became another hit on Quebec radio. On March 13, 2007, two live albums were simultaneously released. The first, La Patente - Live , was recorded during the last performance of the tour of the same name in September 2006, and Chansonnier - Live, a compilation of all his classics from 1999 to 2007, recorded live. He followed this up with another album, Le Soleil Est Sorti , in autumn 2008, and Toutte Est Temporaire in 2014. In 2019, 20 years after the release of his first album, he launched the compilation 20 Ans d'une Pas Pire Épopée , featuring his classics from the last 20 years. On October 1, 2021, he was elected unopposed to the municipal council of Sainte-Maxime-du-Mont-Louis in Gaspésie, Quebec.
