Dumas

Dumas, whose real name is Steve Dumas, is a Quebec rock singer born on July 4, 1979 in Victoriaville (Canada). He won the Festival de la chanson de Granby in 1999, and the Petite Vallée festival the following year. He released his homonymous debut album in 2001. In 2004, he produced the soundtrack to Yves P. Pelletier's film Les Aimants , with the song " Tu m'aimes ou tu mens ", a duet with Isabelle Blais, which reached the top 10 in the Quebec charts. In 2005, Dumas opened for the Cowboys Fringants at a concert in France. That same year, he won the Félix awards for Album of the Year/Original Soundtrack and Show of the Year/Singer-Songwriter at the ADISQ gala. In November 2006, Dumas released his third album, Fixer le Temps , with three radio chart hits: " Alors alors ", " Au gré des saisons " and " Sur tes lèvres ". In December 2009, Dumas releases the album Traces , featuring the track " Le Bonheur ", which reaches the top 5 on Quebec radio. In November 2014, he released his second career album of the same name. February 2018 saw the release of Nos Idéaux, followed in November 2021 by Vol En Éclats - le Cours des Jours Live 2021 , recorded during his show at La Tulipe in Montreal on March 28, 2021. In January 2023, Dumas releases his 12th album, Cosmologie.
