Ariane Moffatt

Born on April 26, 1979 in Saint-Romuald (Canada), Ariane Moffatt is a pop singer from Quebec. She released her first album in 2002, Aquanaute , on which the songs " Fracture du crâne ", " Point de mire " and " Poussière d'ange " reached the top 30 of Quebec radio charts. The album went platinum with over 100,000 sales, and won three Félix awards at the ADISQ gala the following year, in the pop-rock album of the year, revelation of the year and achievement of the year categories. In 2004, she met Matthieu Chedid at the Francofolies festival in Montreal, who invited her to play in France. In 2005, she released her second opus, Le Coeur Dans la Tête, on which three songs reached the top 6 on Quebec radio: " Montréal" , " Retourne chez elle " and " Will You Follow Me ". The album is certified gold, and she wins two more Félix awards: pop-rock album of the year for the second time, and female singer of the year. In February 2006, she opened for Alain Souchon at the Olympia in Paris. In 2008, Ariane Moffatt presents her third opus, Tous les Sens . Je veux tout " remained at number one for four weeks, earning her a nomination at the Victoires de la musique awards and the Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles-Cros. The same year, she collaborated on the debut album by French singer Armandine Bourgeois. In 2010, she contributes to the soundtrack of the TV series Trauma, broadcast on Radio-Canada. That same year, she opened for Matthieu Chedid at the Olympia. In February 2012, she launched the bilingual album MA, certified gold the following year. In 2013, she was one of four coaches on the Quebec version of the reality show La Voix. In March 2015, the opus 22h22 is released, with the tracks " Debout " and " Miami ", which reach the top 10 on radio. This earned her the Félix for Pop Album and Female Performer of the Year at the 2015 Gala. In April 2018, Ariane Moffatt launches the album Petites Mains Précieuses , which achieves success with the tracks " Les Apparences " and " Pour toi ". In 2021, she composes the song " Ensemble, sensible " as part of the Une Chanson À l'École initiative. The song is taught in school music classes, then broadcast on Quebec radio stations.
