Comprising brothers Hubert and Julien Chiasson (vocals, guitars and keyboards), Rémi Bélanger (drums, percussion) and Samuel Renaud (bass), The Seasons was born in 2011, when the musicians decided to rehearse their own compositions in the family home in Beauport, a suburb of Quebec City (Canada). As the concerts progressed, word of mouth began to spread, and the band soon felt the need to create a video to promote their song "Apples " on YouTube. Soon, they record their first self-produced EP, Velvet, consisting of seven tracks and released in June 2013. It caught the attention of the media, who kept a close eye on The Seasons in 2014, in anticipation of their debut album, entitled Pulp, which was finally released in 2015.
