Daniela Spalla, born María Daniela Spalla, is an Argentine singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose soulful blend of pop and indie sounds has captured hearts across Latin America. Her musical journey began at age eight with guitar lessons, followed by vocal, theater, and dance training during her teenage years. After early success performing in local singing competitions, she expanded her skills by studying piano at a jazz school. Daniela Spalla’s career took a significant turn when Mexican artist Ximena Sariñana invited her to perform in Mexico, where she eventually settled in 2013. Her first full-length album, Ahora vienen por nosotros (2014), produced by Rafa Arcaute, earned her a Latin Grammy nomination and launched a tour that took her across Mexico, Colombia, the U.S., Argentina, and Cuba. Between 2015 and 2016, she released several singles, including "Si no lo cortas" with Leonel García. Daniela Spalla continued to build her discography with Camas separadas (2018), Puro Teatro (2020), and most recently DARA (2023), each album showcasing her introspective lyrics and emotional depth. After releasing the lighthearted pop single "Lejos de la Ciudad" in early 2024, she dropped the EP Spalla, incorporating textures from dance music and electro-pop into her songs.
