Formed in 2008 by vocalists Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung, Davichi is a South Korean pop and R&B duo from South Korea. Shortly after its inception, the group issued their studio debut Amaranth, which reached Number 12 on the Gaon charts and earned numerous awards, including Best New Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and the Seoul Music Awards. Their subsequent EPs—Davichi in Wonderland (2009), Innocence (2010), and Love Delight (2011)—all broke into the Top 5 of the Gaon Albums Chart and the singles “Time, Please Stop” (2010) and “Don’t Say Goodbye” (2011) both achieved pole position in their native South Korea. In 2013, Davichi released their second full-length, Mystic Ballad, hitting Number 2 on the Albums Chart thanks to the chart-topping singles “Turtle” and “Be Warmed” featuring rapper Verbal Jint. After parting ways with label Core Contents Media in 2014, Davichi signed with MMO Entertainment for their 2015 EP Davichi Hug, which contained the Number 1 single “Cry Again.” In the following years, the duo kept releasing music at a steady pace and celebrated its tenth anniversary with the full-length &10 in 2018. “Looking at Photos,” a collaborative effort with R&B group Vibe, saw the light in 2021, bowing at Number 48 on the Gaon charts.
