Davina Michelle is a Dutch pop singer who began releasing multi-platinum hits after competing in the television competition Idols in 2016. She was born as "Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn" on November 12, 1995, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Although her time on Idols was brief, the show proved to be a springboard for her career, and Michelle began uploading her own versions of other pop singers' material through 2017. One year later, her cover of MC Fit's "Duurt Te Lang (It Takes Too Long)" skyrocketed to Number 1 on the Dutch charts. The song eventually went five-times platinum in the Netherlands and was followed by another Top 10 single, "Skyward," in early 2019. Davina Michelle scored her second chart-topping hit that same year with "Hoe Het Danst," which went triple platinum. After launching 2020 with another Top 10 release, "Beat Me," Michelle landed a third Number 1 hit with "17 Miljoien Mensen." Both songs went platinum, and Michelle maintained her momentum throughout 2021 with the Top 40 singles "Hyper," "Hold On," "Sweet Water," and "Nobody is Perfect."
