Dean Lewis

Born in Sydney, Australia, on October 21, 1987, singer Dean Lewis taught himself guitar and wrote his first compositions as a teenager, staying in the shadows for several years before signing his first artist contract with Specific Music in 2014, then Island Records two years later. From the dozens of tracks accumulated over a decade, "Waves" is chosen as the first single to be released on September 30, 2016. It quickly caught on with Australian audiences, who ranked it at No. 12, and earned its author a quintuple platinum disc, accompanied by credits in several American series such as Suits, Greys Anatomy and Riverdale. The Same Kind of Different EP, released in May 2017, also includes the three other singles "Need You Know", "Lose My Mind" and "Chemicals", in the same folk, pop and rock vein dear to Dean Lewis. In June 2018, the release of the new track "Be Alright" puts his name on the world map. Ranked at number one for five weeks in Australia, it is present in the biggest international charts, notably in the USA (#40), the UK (#11) and France (#37). His debut album A Place We Knew, charted worldwide including #1 in Australia and #31 in the U.S., featured some of his greatest hits and included the new track "7 Minutes". Dean Lewis then collaborated with DJ Martin Garrix on "Used to Love" (2019) and in 2021 unveiled the track "Falling Up", followed by "Looks Like Me", the first single from the album The Hardest Love (2022), which was less successful internationally than its predecessor but nevertheless ranked #4 in Australia. However, her third single "How Do I Say Goodbye" went on to become a chart hit. After touring with the band AJR, her third album The Epilogue (2024) is released, featuring a duet with Sasha Alex Sloan on "Rest".
