Created in northern France in 1991, Deep Forest is a pioneer of the new age world fusion movement. Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez created a shock wave in 1992 with the album Deep Forest and the single "Sweet Lullaby ". This debut album earned Deep Forest nominations at the Victoires de la Musique, MTV Awards and Grammy Awards in 1993. After World Mix in 1994, Deep Forest won a Grammy Award and a World Music Award for Boheme in 1995. The group's subsequent projects aroused less interest, despite the persistence of a large fan base, particularly in Japan. In 2008, Eric Mouquet embarked on a thematic series on his own, beginning with Deep Brasil. He then recorded Deep India with Rahul Sharma, followed by Deep Africa, both in 2013. The Evo Devo album was released in 2016.
