The musician duo Die Atzen was founded in 2008 by Marc Schneider, alias Manny Marc, and Vincente de Teba Költerhoff, alias Frauenarzt. Back in 1997, they founded a joint label called Bassboxxx and musically oriented themselves towards the Miami bass of the 1980s paired with pornographic lyrics. With their albums, the two tended to move in the underground of the German-language hip-hop scene. in 2008, their song "Florida Lady" with electro-hit icon Alexander Marcus became a first hit and paved the way for the formation of the project Die Atzen. the debut album Atzen Musik Vol. 1 was released in 2008 and the single "Das geht ab! (Wir feiern die ganze Nacht)" they landed the summer hit of the year. The party anthem climbed to number 8 in the German charts and went platinum. They performed regularly on Mallorca and in 2010 presented two more successful singles from their album Atzen Musik Vol. 2, "Disco Pogo" and "Atzin" . The third album Party Chaos followed just one year later, including the single "Strobo Pop" with singer Nena. in 2012, they released Atzen Musik Vol. 3. The single "Party (Ich will abgehn) " was to be their last for seven years. in 2019, they returned with the song "Ballern". The 2020 singles (including "Katsching" and "Mach ma nich so") enjoyed great popularity among fans, but were unable to build on their previous success in the mainstream.
