Initially a producer and DJ, Dimitri from Paris made an international name for himself with his light, festive music, using French clichés and drawing inspiration from the ambient music of the 1950s and 1960s. The success of his debut album Sacrebleu , released in 1996, made him one of the pillars of the French Touch. In 2000, the mixtape A Night at the Playboy Mansion inaugurated a series that continued with Afther the Playboy Mansion and Return to the Playboy Mansion. Disco Forever (2002) and In the House of Disco (2014) feature his style, which leans towards disco and kitsch imagery.
