Dinos

Jules Jomby was born on November 30, 1993 in Douala, Cameroon, and arrived in France at the age of four. His family settled in La Courneuve, Seine-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the 4,000 housing estate. Fascinated by rap music from an early age, he competed against other rappers in MC duels. It was at this time that he adopted the pseudonym Dinos Punchlinovic, which he later reduced to Dinos. He released his first mixtape, Thumbs Up, in 2011, then signed with the Def Jam France label, on which the L'Alchimiste EP was released in 2013. The Apparences EP followed in 2014, featuring a contribution from Némir on the track "Destin commun". Until 2018, when his album Imany was released, he collaborated with a number of artists, including Disiz la Peste, Youssoupha, Soprano, Luidji, Sadek and the duo Madame Monsieur. 2019 sees the release of the album Taciturne, with contributions from Manu Dibango and Dosseh, while in 2020, the EP Taciturne, les Inachevés precedes the album Stamina, whose fourteen tracks enter the best-seller charts. In addition to the duet with Nekfeu, "Moins un", at No. 1, the album includes collaborations with Tayc, Laylow, Da Uzi, Leto, Zefor and Zikxo. In 2021, the same album was reissued under the name Stamina, Memento , with a number of new tracks, including "Du mal à te dire", which reached number 16 in the French album charts. The year 2022 proves prolific, with the release of three EPs, Aquanaute, Nautilus and Sea Dweller, as well as a concert at the Zénith in Paris and an appearance at the Hip-hop symphonique event. In 2023, Dinos wrote the track "Burn Out" for the film Creed 3 and collaborated with Norsacce Berlusconi and Dosseh. He then turned his attention to the album Kintsugi, which reached No. 2 in the SNEP charts and featured contributions from Josman, Tiakola, Hamza, Zamdane, Jolagreen and La Mano 1.9, as well as singer Hélène Ségara and pianist Sofiane Pamart on the track "Cent fois".
