Mathieu Pruski (born April 15th, 1997), aka PLK, is a French hip-hop performer of Polish heritage who released his debut EP Peur de me Tromper in 2015. He followed with another EP titled Dedans in 2016. His debut mixtape Ténébreux came out 2017, marking his debut in the French top 40, and he released two more long-players in 2018, the sophomore mixtape Platinum and the eponymous debut album Polak, which went to number six on the French albums chart and later achieved platinum certification. He is a member of the French rap group Panama Bende and has collaborated with Krispy, Paluch, Nekfeu and SCH. Amidst international tour dates, he enjoyed a breakthrough in 2019, with his hit single “Un peu de haine” – a melodic trap number taken from his third mixtape, Mental – claiming the top spot in the national charts. The project, which reached number two in France, also dominated the singles chart, with every one of its tracks making an appearance upon its release. He went on to match this record with his third LP, Enna, in 2020, which featured collaborations with the likes of Niska, Hamza and Rim’K and narrowly missed out on a number one position in the French albums chart once again.
