Ditonellapiaga is the stage name of Italian singer-songwriter Margherita Carducci, born on February 5, 1997, in Rome. After graduating in theatre direction, she kicked off her music career in 2019 with the single "Parli," recorded in collaboration with producer Bbprod. In late 2020, she signed with the label Dischi Belli, a subsidiary of BMG Rights Management, and released the Matia Bazar cover "Per Un' Ora d'Amore," followed by "Morphina" later that year. Preceded by the indie rock-tinged "Spreco di Potenziale," her debut EP Morsi arrived in 2021 and featured all of the singer's previous singles up to that point. In 2022, her studio debut Camouflage reached Number 21 on the Italian Albums Chart. That same year, Ditonellapiaga participated alongside Donatella Rettore in the Sanremo Song Festival, finishing up in 16th place with the track "Chimica."
