Carlos Sosa, better known as DJ Sneak, was born on November 5, 1969, in Puerto Rico and later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he became an influential figure in the house music scene. His musical influences initially included salsa and merengue, but after relocating to Chicago in 1983, he immersed himself in the underground house music culture. DJ Sneak earned his nickname through his graffiti tags and developed his DJ skills in local nightclubs and through mobile DJ jobs. He gained international recognition in the 1990s and has released several albums, including Kinky Trax Collection (1996), Blue Funk Files (1997), and Housekeepin' (2004). His work on Daft Punk's track "Digital Love" from the album Discovery (2001) showcases his lyrical contributions to electronic music.
