D.O.D

Born in Lancaster, England, on April 5, 1995, Dan O'Donnell began working as an electro-house DJ in 2009, releasing material under his D.O.D. acronym. His debut single, "Hello," was released that year, along with a remix of Chris Brown's multi-platinum hit "I Can Transform Ya." While continuing to record standalone singles for labels like Dim Mak, Magik Muzik, and House of Fun during the following years, D.O.D. also released a handful of EPs, issuing Hoy Es? in 2010 and two additional EPs — More Cowbell and Fire — in 2013. His career took a commercial turn in 2014, when he teamed up with fellow electro-house heavyweight Laidback Luke for "Flashing Lights." The song became a dance hit, earning more than 7 million streams on Spotify and pushing D.O.D.'s follow-up single, "Bahamas," to Number 14 on the Dance Bubbling Under chart. Two years later, D.O.D. released "Blip," an anthemic single that introduced his self-described "future jack" sound. He then returned his focus to a series of successful singles, topping the Beatport chart throughout 2017 with songs like "Satisfy," "Love's Gonna Get You," "Bones," and "Unforgettable." D.O.D. earned another viral hit with 2019's "According to Me" before unveiling a new, piano-driven sound with 2021's "Sleepless."
