Dylan Gossett is an American country singer-songwriter hailing from Austin, Texas. The son of a school teacher and a basketball coach, he first picked up the guitar in middle school after discovering the music of Ed Sheeran and later taught himself how to play everything from country classics like Alan Jackson and George Strait to classic rock tunes by Journey, The Eagles, and Scorpions. Despite enrolling at Texas A&M University, music remained one of his main priorities. In 2023, after gaining considerable traction online through a series of covers, Dylan Gossett made his official debut with the single "To Be Free," which quickly went viral on social media and accrued over 3 million listens on streaming platforms. However, it was his next single, "Coal," that finally put him on the map, debuting at number 24 on the Billboard Country Digital Songs Sales chart and entering several streaming charts. He followed this success later that year with "Beneath Oak Trees" and No Better Time, his first EP.
