Hailing from Statesboro, Georgia, Dylan Marlowe is a contemporary country artist who kickstarted his career with a viral cover of Olivia Rodgrigo's pop hit “Driver’s License." He was born on June 9, 1997. With a mother who listened to country music and a father who once played drums in a Christian metal band, Marlowe grew up listening to a variety of music, from Nashville-based acts like Keith Whitley and Kenny Chesney to rock bands like Linkin Park and Nickelback. He began writing songs, too, ditching a potential career in baseball to focus on original music. His debut single, "How To Say Goodbye," was released in 2018, followed by 2019's "That Truck." Marlowe left Georgia and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic. Unable to tour, he found an audience online instead, going viral with his country-fried cover of "Driver's License" in 2021 and receiving even more attention for the song's follow-up, "All About It." Both songs also appeared on the self-titled Dylan Marlowe EP, which was followed in 2022 by singles like "GTB" and "Why'd We Break Up Again." Marlowe also scored his first Number 1 hit as a co-writer that same year, when Jon Pardi reached the top of the Country Airplay chart with "Last Night Lonely." In 2023, Dylan Marlowe returned to the country charts — this time as a solo artist — with the single "Boys Back Home," which debuted at number 49 on Billboard's Top 50 Country Songs chart. The song served as the lead single from his EP Dirt Road When I Die, which was released that same year.
