The power metal band Dynazty hails from Stockholm, Sweden, where electric guitarists Rob Love Magnusson and John Berg formed the group in 2007. After completing the initial lineup with drummer Georg Härnsten Egg, bassist Joel Fox Apelgren, and frontman Nils Molin, Dynazty began recording its debut album, Bring the Thunder. The album was released in July 2009, establishing the hard rock sound that would characterize Dynazty's first three albums. Known You Down followed in 2011 and marked the band's first taste of commercial success, reaching Number 23 on the Swedish Albums chart. Dynazty participated in Sweden's Melodifestivalen contest that same year, then competed in the following year's Melodifestivalen festival with the single "Land of Broken Dreams," which charted at Number 57 in Sweden. A third album, Sultans of Sin, was released in 2012, marking the final appearance of Dynazty's original lineup. Two years later, Renatus introduced not only a revised roster of the band, but also a sonic shift toward a more metal-influenced sound. Subsequent albums like 2016's Titanic Mass and 2018's Firesign cemented the band's reinvention as a loud, hard-charging power metal act, with Firesign doubling as Dynazty's first release for AFM Records. The band remained with AFM Records during the early 2020s, as well, releasing The Dark Delight in 2020 and Final Advent in 2022.
