Ecco2K

Born on January 23, 1994, Ecco2K is the pseudonym of Swedish-British musician Zak Arogundade Gaterud. The son of a Swedish make-up artist and an English graphic designer and architect of Nigerian origin, he spent his youth in Stockholm, Sweden, where he developed a passion for drawing. In 2004, he met Benjamin Reichwald aka Bladee, with whom he formed a first group called Krossad, which in 2013 became the artistic collective Drain Gang with the arrival of Thaiboy Digital and Whitearmor. Signed by the Year0001 label, the group produced the Crush Resist EP (2015) and the albums D&G (2017) and Trash Island (2019), while diversifying its activities between video and fashion. After a solo debut on stage in 2017 between two fashion shows, Ecco2K set about producing his album E (2019), an experimental collection in which he develops his style between rap and electronica. Several singles followed, until the release of the PXE EP (2021). Although no longer operating under the Drain Gang name, Ecco2K continued to collaborate regularly with Bladee and Thaiboy Digital, as evidenced by the album Crest (2022), produced with the former, or the track "TL;DR" (2024), with his two comparses. In 2025, he produced the track "Carbon Monoxydee" on his own.
