Edan Lui (born on January 21, 1997 in British Hong Kong) (known as Edan) is a Hong Kong singer, songwriter, presenter and actor. Studying piano, violin and singing from a young age, Edan auditioned for Good Night Show – King Maker (reality television show), finishing in eighth place before invited to join Cantopop group MIRROR, debuting in November 2018 with single “In a Second”. Developing his solo career parallel to performing in MIRROR, Edan released his debut single “Mr. E’s Series of Unfortunate Events”, in January 2021, followed by “Little Comedian” and “My Apple Pie” as well a collaboration with Taiwanese singer on “Talents” and “A Promising Young Man”, earning him several newcomer of the year awards at the 2021 Metro Radio Hit, Ultimate Chart and 2021/2022 Chill Club Chart Awards. Changing musical direction in 2022, Edan released dance/rap single “Elevator” in April, as well as featuring on on Hong Kong singer Leo Ku’s album IRLTS, re-recording Ku’s 2004 track Floating Classroom. Later in the year, Edan released three hit songs from popular Hong Kong television dramas in which he also starred: “i.SWIM” from i.SWIM, “No Matter How Far” from Hong Kong Family and “The Lunatics Anthem” from popular basketball series We Got Game, collaborating with former MIRROR members Keung To, Ian Chan and Stanley Yau as well as Cantopop artists Leung Yip (Fatboy), 193 and Louis Cheung.
