Former leader and guitarist of The Equals, Guyanese Eddy Grant made a career in the eighties with his pop-tinged reggae. Author of the hits "Walking on Sunshine" (1979), "Do You Feel My Love" (1980), "Electric Avenue" (1984), and the anti-apartheid anthem "Gimme Hope Jo'anna" (1988), Eddy Grant then built on his reputation, releasing a string of best-of albums. Now a producer, Eddy Grant owns a studio in Barbados where Sting and Mick Jagger record.
