E-girls, short for Exile Girls, was a Japanese girl group managed by LDH. Originating as a sister act to the boy band Exile, E-girls debuted in 2011 with their single "Celebration." This was followed by their debut album Lesson 1, released in 2013. The group's single "Gomennasai no Kissing You" was a smash success, selling over 100,000 units. The album Colorful Pop followed in 2014, increasing the group's profile and charting well on the Oricon Albums Chart. In 2015, E-girls underwent lineup changes and released their third album E.G. Time, showcasing a shift in their music and vocal styles. The group continued releasing successful projects, including their 2015 single "Merry x Merry Xmas." The group's career included notable milestones such as multiple high-charting singles and albums, participation in numerous music festivals, and appearances on year-end shows like KÅhaku Uta Gassen. They released the greatest hits album E.G. Smile: E-girls Best in 2016, followed by the album E.G. Crazy in 2017. The group announced a 3-month release project leading up to their 24th single in 2020. However, several concerts from their final tour had to be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. E-girls disbanded at the end of 2020, with members pursuing various career paths within LDH, including acting, modeling, forming new units, and solo music careers.
