Born in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Philippines on March 14, 1998, Elaine Duran is a singer best known as the winner of season 3 of the talent competition Tawag ng Tanghalan, part of the daytime television show It’s Showtime. She attended Agusan National High School before enrolling at New Era University in hopes of earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree. She made her first televised singing performance on Wil Time Bigtime. She auditioned in 2017 for season 2 of Tawag ng Tanghalan but was not accepted. The following year, she auditioned again and earned a spot on the show. She was the triumphant and unanimous winner of the daily rounds, the semi-finals, and the grand finale. Crowned as the winner of the third season, she was also entered as the first hall of famer of the show. Her social media accounts grew and her videos went viral on the internet. In November 2020, she released the single “Ikaw Lang Naman”, which received thousands of streams on social media in the first week.
