A Gabonese RnB singer born in 2003, inspired by artists such as Fally Ipupa, Wizkid and Aya Nakamura, Emma'a (real name Emmanuella Issembe) first came to public attention in early 2022 with the song "Grand Bandit", which she recorded with rapper Eboloko. A second single, "Encré", was released a few weeks later, winning her the hearts of urban pop fans. It spread like wildfire on social networks, where the young artist was part of a new wave of African artists, such as Ghanaians Nektunez and Black Shérif or Nigerians Pheelz and Lojay, taking advantage of the younger generation's infatuation with these new media, resulting in instant virality and notoriety. She signed a contract with Sony Music Afrique, which enabled her to release the Encré EP in the summer of 2022, featuring a guest appearance by KeBlack and a remix of her hit by Bob Sinclar. in November 2023, Emma'a unveiled her eponymous eight-track debut album, featuring notable collaborations, notably with Jungeli on the single "Katana" . recognition of her talent extends beyond Gabon's borders. In November 2023, Emma'a won the Prix International des Musiques Urbaines et du Coupé-Décalé (PRIMUD) for best Central African artist in Abidjan. In 2024, she released the triple album Emma'a Part.
