Of Congolese origin, Joel Jungeli alias Jungeli was born in Sevran, Seine Saint-Denis. Jungeli made a name for himself at the start of his career in 2023. After a first track entitled "À moi", which went relatively unnoticed, he recorded the afropop hit "Petit génie", for which he invited artists such as Alonzo, Abou Debeing, Imen Es and Lossa to cover his catchy melody. For production, he called on DJ Willis, who had previously worked with Bramsito, Gambi and Heuss l'Enfoiré. In the space of a few weeks, the track went viral on social networks, where it quickly racked up millions of views, as well as on listening platforms. The young artist soon released new tracks, including "Katana" with Emma'a, "C'est qui?" with Big Ben, and "Rashel", a more romantic Afropop song recorded in collaboration with Belgian-Moroccan producer and singer Dystinct. In 2024, "T'étais où?", accompanied by Vegedream, Alonzo and Zaho, went platinum, while an Italian remix of "Petit génie" featured Rhove and Germo67. Another duet, "Evidemment" with Dadju, precedes the double album En Attendant Pour le Peuple..., which reaches No. 39 in France.
