Discovered by the general public in 2002 with a classical music award, cellist Emmanuelle Bertrand has devoted herself to contemporary composers, and in particular to Henri Dutilleux. Whether in duo with pianist Pascal Amoyel or solo, as on Le violoncelle parle, Emmanuelle Bertrand combines contemporary composers with the great classics, bringing the cello to the fore. In 2000, her collaboration with Henri Dutilleux gave rise to Pièces Pour Violoncelle Seul De Dutilleux: 3 Strophes Sur Le Nom De Sacher, published by Harmonia Mundi.
