Emmy Meli (December 14, 1999) is a singer-songwriter from Torrance, California. She developed a passion for music and began writing at a very young age, inspired by singers like Barbara Lewis, Betty Everett, Minnie Riperton, Amy Winehouse, and Duffy. She continued to hone her craft during her teenage years, searching for a musical identity based on her various influences. Her official debut arrived in 2020 when she released the single “Wanting More,” followed by “On the Rocks” and “Tribute to Hollywood” later that year. In 2021, she broke into the mainstream with the single “I Am Woman,” a female empowerment anthem released via Arista and Disruptor Records. The track went viral on social media platforms, where it received over 22 million views. Shortly after its release, “I Am Woman” reached Number 67 on the Official UK Singles Chart and Number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100.
