Enima

A Canadian rapper of Algerian origin, Enima made his name on the Montreal scene, where he has lived since the age of 10. Born in Algeria on January 11, 1993, Samir Slimani had a difficult Canadian adolescence, divided between rap and frequent prison stays. An independent artist, he founded his own label MMS Entertainment and inaugurated his production in 2016 with a remix of Young Thug's track "Power", chosen for his first mixtape En Attendant MMS, Vol. 1, quickly followed the same year by the album MMS, Vol. 1 and its companion MMS, Vol. 1.5. In 2017, his notoriety grew on social networks with the track "For the Low" and the bilingual mixtape Eclipse. Having since returned to his homeland and established himself in Europe, Enima released the albums OPN (2018), De Rien (2019) and several new tracks, including the lead single "Moi", taken from the EP DZA (2021), which peaked at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and its video at number 6 on the chart dedicated to the format. Following the release of the album RĂ©silience (2021), the mixtape MMS 2.0 (2022) reaches no. 46 on the Canadian album charts. A few weeks later, the unreleased tracks "NHN" and "CC" join the list of the most listened-to tracks on digital platforms.
