Eric Paslay is one of many country artists who exist on the periphery of the Nashville music scene with two parallel careers, one as a songwriter and the other as a performer in their own right. Prior to having his own hits, Paslay had written material for a variety of artists including the popular country trio Lady Antebellum as well as Jake Owen, The Eli Young Band and Love & Theft with the last three artists having all enjoyed number one hits with Paslay's material. He has also collaborated with Dierks Bentley, Sheryl Crow and Amy Grant. To date Paslay has only recorded one, self-titled, album released in 2014 and an EP titled 'The Works Tapes' which he released in 2017. His most successful single so far has been 'Friday Night' which came out in 2013 and made the top ten in the US and Canadian country charts being certified gold in the process.
