American gospel and R&B singer and actress Erica Monique Campbell was born Erica Monique Atkins in Inglewood, California, on April 29, 1972. Specializing in contemporary urban gospel, Christian R&B and contemporary R&B, she began her musical career in the late 1990s with her younger sister, Tina Campbell, in the group Mary Mary. Her debut solo album, Help (2014), reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album at the 57th Grammy Awards ceremony in 2015. The remixed reissue of the album, Help 2.0 (2015), included the gospel trap single "I Luh God", which reached number one on the gospel charts. After hosting Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell with comedian Griff, she and husband and producer Warryn Campbell presented a reality show in 2018 on TV One. She released her second album, I Love You, in 2023. Alongside her musical career, Erica Campbell starred in the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993). She also appeared in the film The Fighting Temptations (2003).
