Eths

Marseilles-based death metal band Eths was founded in 1999. Following the Autopsie and Samantha EPs, the band, led by singer Candice Clot, released Sôma (2004), marked by its supernatural themes and oppressive atmosphere. In 2007, the band's second opus, Tératologie, takes things to the next level. This was followed by a long tour punctuated by festivals. After a period of semi-retirement due to the singer's maternity leave, the quintet returned with a vengeance in 2012 with a tribal metal third opus. But they soon faced a series of defections and had to rebuild with new members, notably Rachel Aspe, who replaced Candice Clot on vocals on the album Ankaa, released in April 2016.
