Born on 10 January 1994 in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, Ewan McVicar is a kilt-wearing electronic producer whose house and techno-focussed productions have struck a chord with dance music fans and helped turn him into a national hero. He developed a taste for the dancefloor at some of Scotland's most famous haunts, including Sub Club, and set about self-releasing his productions in 2017. In May 2020, he upped the ante with his EP Street Rave for Patrick Topping's Trick label while scoring his breakthrough track the following year with the Chaka Khan-sampling "Tell Me Something Good," released via Ministry of Sound and the aforementioned Trick. The platinum-certified single cracked the UK Top 20 and pushed his career into thrilling new places. In February 2022, he dropped his Movin' On Over EP followed by the Heather Park EP for Technicolour, which drew from his formative memories of Kincaidston, Ayr. In April 2023, he launched his own festival, the Pavilion Festival, which took place in Low Green, Ayr. July 2023 saw the release of new single "Groove Thang" via Ministry Of Sound.
