Federica Carta (Born on January 11, 1999) is an Italian singer-songwriter. Encouraged by her father, Carta took music and piano lessons from an early age. After finishing third in the TV talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, she released her studio debut, Federica (2017) via Universal Music Group. The album proved to be quite successful, peaking at Number 3 on FIMI’s charts and obtaining platinum certification shortly after. Carta’s career took off after that, receiving invitations to perform at several festivals and to even host a TV show. Following a frustrated attempt to participate in the 68th edition of the Sanremo Song Festival, Carta released “Molto più di un film,” (2018), which debuted at Number 4 on FIMI’s charts and helped her land a spot as opening act for acclaimed singer Laura Pausini. She finally had the chance to take part in the Sanremo Song Festival 2019 with the single “Senza farlo apposta,” a collaboration with rapper Shade. The single was certified gold and then platinum after selling more than 50,000 copies. Released in February, 2019, Popcorn featured the single “Mondovisione,” which she recorded for the soundtrack of the film La befana vien di notte. In 2020, Carta followed the success of her third album with three infectious pop singles: “Bullshit,” “Easy,” and “Bella così,” a collaboration with trap artist Chadia Rodríguez.
