Fernando Daniel (May 11, 1996) is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, mostly known for winning the fourth edition of reality music show The Voice Portugal. He was introduced to the public eye via the TV show Factor X in 2014, where he achieved fourth place with the group Babel. Two years later, the stars aligned for Fernando Daniel as he went on to win the fourth season of The Voice Portugal, attaining nationwide success. In 2017, he participated in the Festival da Canção in order to represent Portugal at the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite making it to the finals with a rendition of Henrique Feist’s “Poema a Dois,” Fernando Daniel finished in fifth place. That same year, he made his official debut with the single “Espera,” which was featured on the Portuguese soap opera A Herdeira. The single was also included in his 2018 studio debut Salto, a chart-topping effort that obtained gold certification by the AFP shortly after its release. During 2019, Fernando Daniel issued the platinum single “Se Eu” and appeared on the soundtrack of the animated film Frozen 2 with the track “Muito Mais Além.” His sophomore effort Presente saw the light in 2020 and also reached Number 1 on the Portuguese charts. Shortly after, his collaborative single with singer Agir, “Sem Ti,” reached Number 180 in his native Portugal.
