Brazilian pagode sensation Ferrugem, born Jheison Failde de Souza on October 20, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, made waves in the music scene with his soulful voice and deep connection to samba culture. Raised in a musical family with his mother as a backing vocalist, Ferrugem discovered his passion early, joining samba circles and eventually learning to play the tantã drum. He gained initial attention in São Paulo's samba community with his song "Meu Bem," leading to his signing with Warner Music and the release of his debut album Climatizar in 2015. This album, featuring collaborations with Anitta and Alcione, included popular singles like "Tentei Ser Incrível" and "Paciência." In 2018, Ferrugem gained national acclaim with the release of his first live DVD, Prazer, Eu Sou Ferrugem, which brought him a Latin Grammy nomination and included hits like "Pirata e Tesouro" and "Pra Você Acreditar." His success continued with Chão de Estrelas (2019), another live album featuring collaborations with top Brazilian artists such as Ivete Sangalo and Léo Santana. Another live LP titled Abre-Alas arrived in 2020, followed by the 2023 studio album Interessante, which featured guest appearances by Luísa Sonza and IZA.
