Feuerschwanz

The German medieval rock and metal band Feuerschwanz comes from the Erlangen area and was founded in 2004 by Peter Henrici, Tobias Heindl and Andre Linke as a medieval folk comedy band. In November 2005, Feuerschwanz released their first album Prima Nocte . After several line-up changes, the second album followed in 2007 under the title Met und Miezen. The band's fourth studio album, Wunsch ist Wunsch, is released in 2011 and reaches number 95 in the German album charts, with Walhalligalli entering at number 37 a year later. Auf's Leben is released in 2014 to mark the band's 10th anniversary. their seventh studio album Sex is Muss follows in 2016. The next two albums, Methämmer (2018, No. 6) and Das elfte Gebot (2020, No. 3), continued to climb the charts until their tenth album, Memento Mori , finally reached No. 1 in 2021. In addition to the self-written songs, Feuerschwanz's repertoire also includes some songs originally written by other artists, such as "I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran. In 2023, Feuerschwanz achieved another number 1 album in Germany with Fegefeuer. The band celebrates its 20th anniversary with the first album recorded entirely in English. Warriors is released in April 2024 and contains ten well-known hits rearranged in English as well as a new song, "The Unholy Grail". The longplayer reached number 8 in Germany and number 7 in Austria, reaching the top 10 in both countries and number 75 in Switzerland.
