German post-hardcore band Fjørt aka vocalist/guitarist Chris Hell, bassist/vocalist David Frings and drummer Frank Schophaus formed in Aachen, the westermost city in Germany, in February 2012 and released their first six-track EP, Demontage, for Truelove Entertainment that November. They honed their uncompromising sound at nearly 100 live shows before setting their sights on their debut album. "D'accord" was released in 2014 via This Charming Man Records and saw the band established their heavy and melodic post-hardcore aesthetic. Sophomore effort Kontakt arrived in 2016 and they charted for the first time on the German album charts with third album Couleur, released in 2017. After a five-year break from releases, the group returned in 2022 with new album nichts.
