Flatland Cavalry

Hailing from Lubbock, Texas, Flatland Cavalry was born in 2012 around guitarist and singer Cleto Cordero. Along with his longtime friend, drummer Jason Albers, he brought together other musicians to create a country band tackling a variety of styles, from folk to rock. So Jonathan Saenz (bass), Reid Dillion (guitar) and Laura Jane (fiddle) complete the band, which launches a fundraising campaign to record its debut EP Come May (2015). Following the success of debut indie album Humble Folks (2017), which reached #38 on the country charts, Flatland Cavalry consolidated their reputation on the road and returned to the studio for Homeland Insecurity (2019). Meanwhile, Laura Jane has given way to Wesley Hall and the band is back on tour, when the Covid-19 pandemic upsets their plans. Back in the studio, they recorded their 3rd album Welcome to Countryland (2021) at Nashville's Sound Emporium, followed by Far Out West Sessions (2022) and Wandering Star (2023), the first for Interscope Records. In 2024, Flatland Forever brings together, among its twenty-five tracks, some fifteen of the band's favorite songs.
