Frankie Paul was part of the first wave of Jamaican dancehall in the 1980s. A multi-instrumentalist who is virtually blind, Frankie Paul is often compared to Stevie Wonder, but is above all inspired by Dennis Brown. An extremely prolific artist, Frankie Paul routinely produces several albums a year, so much so that his discography is a maze even for the most die-hard fans. Popular in Jamaica, where he has churned out numerous hits, Frankie Paul has never translated this success beyond the island's borders. The 2011 compilation Most Wanted succinctly brings together his most significant hits.
