Multi-instrumentalist (double bass, bass, piano, guitar), composer, arranger and producer, Fred Pallem plays many roles and genres, depending on the artists he works with. Founder of the orchestra Le Sacre du Tympan, which he has led since 1998, this self-taught musician born in 1973 has collaborated with the great names of French chanson and rock, putting his skills to work for artists such as Charles Aznavour, Vanessa Paradis, Bernard Lavilliers, Katerine, Sébastien Tellier, Barbara Carlotti, Matthieu Chedid, Alain Chamfort, Vincent Delerm, Adamo, Maurane, Olivia Ruiz, Julien Doré, Keren Ann, Daniel Darc, Dick Annegarn, Jane Birkin and Charlotte Gainsbourg, to name but a few. Revelation at the Victoires du Jazz awards in 2006, he has released a handful of albums with his orchestra, including Le Sacre du Tympan (2002) and Le Retour! (2005), La Grande Ouverture (2008), Sound Trax (2011) and a tribute to François de Roubaix in 2015. In addition, this stakhanovist of rhythm has collaborated on shows(Désiirs, in 2009, with his other group, Crazy Horse Saloon) and composed the film scores forEmmenez-moi (2005), Crazy Horse (2011) and Les nouveaux chiens de garde (2012).
