Born in Harold Hill, Essex but raised in southwest France, bilingual rapper French the Kid began sharing freestyles online in 2018, including "Trill" and "Can't Feel My Face", before finding fame with his official 2019 debut single, "Bella Latina". He kept up the momentum across several singles in 2020, including "Broke Toys" and "Mad About Bars", which charted in the UK. That same year, he teamed up with Kenny Allstar for "Coco", while also dropping viral hits in ”Daily Duppy” Pt.1 and 2 (2021), and ”Old Friends” (2021). In 2022, he released his 13-track drill and rap mixtape, Never Been Ordinary, which shot to Number 21 on the UK charts notably thanks to successful singles like "Make It Out".
