Furax Barbarossa

Furax Barbarossa, who chose his stage name in reference to the pirate Barbarossa, is also known on the rap scene under the stage name Furax. Born on February 4, 1979, this powerful-voiced rapper from Toulouse began his career in 2004. He released two EPs, Crash Test (2004) and Une Jeunesse, Deux Univers, le Même Enfer (2006), before releasing his debut album, État des Lieux . This was followed two years later by En Bas de l'Échelle . Teaming up with rapper Reda, he recorded Jour de Deuil in 2010 , which featured several collaborations with Scylla, Lamser, 10Vers, L'Hexaler and Polychrome 7, the collective of which Furax Barbarossa is a member. Four years later, he unveiled Testa Nera, on which Belgian rapper Scylla made a comeback with the tracks "Les Yeux fermés " and "Les Poissons morts ". In association with Jeff Le Nerf, he then put the finishing touches to Dernier Manuscrit, in 2017. He also made a name for himself that year with a duet with rapper Demi Portion on the track "Un Jour viendra". Three years later, the rapper made a comeback with an album mixed by DJ Soon and entitled À l'Isolement . In 2022, he released a series of videos, "Uragano", "Brise de mer", "À l'amiable" and "Caravelle ", promoting his seventh album, Caravelle, which reached number ten in the French album charts.
