Sofiane Pamart

Born in Hellemmes, near Lille, on April 25, 1990, Sofiane Pamart stands out for his training as a classical pianist in the French rap scene. A pupil of the Lille Conservatoire since the age of seven, he studied piano for sixteen years, earning a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree in musicology. A rap fan, he reconciled his two musical passions by forming the group Rapsodie in 2012, which recorded the self-produced album Fugue (2015). This period saw Sofiane Pamart collaborate, on piano or vocals, with numerous rap artists including Koba LaD, Vald, Maes, Médine, SCH, Demi Portion, Zola, Hugo TSR, Sneazzy, L'Or du Commun, Lord Esperanza, Lonepsi, Dinos and Scylla, with whom he signed the diptych Pleine Lune (2018) and Pleine Lune 2 (2019). The influence of classical composers can be felt in the recordings released under his name. Entirely instrumental, composed and played on the piano, his first solo album Planet (2019) draws its inspiration from the world's great metropolises, and is enriched by eight new themes in Planet Gold (2021). In addition to a wide range of collaborations with Marina Kaye, Arno, Kimberose, Da Uzi, Laylow, Dabeull and Rilès, the composer and pianist performs at the Montreux Jazz Festival and in European capitals. In 2022, he embarked on a French tour to promote the release of his second album, Letter, featuring his sister, violinist Linda Pamart, on one track. At the end of the year, he managed to fill the Accor Hotel Arena for a piano recital, a first for a solo pianist. In 2023, he teamed up with rapper YG Pablo for the collaborative album Diamond Tears, followed by the release of the album Noche, with saxophonist Ferdi on the title track. For the Dreamers EP (2024), he is accompanied by Formula 1 driver and pianist Charles Leclerc, before the Forever Friends album co-written with electro producer NTO.
