In 1997, Mark Chojnowski created his musical double, Gaspard LaNuit. He went on to create a repertoire of songs that owed as much to Nick Cave as to Serge Gainsbourg or Léo Ferré, without neglecting a definite attraction for jazz. Gaspard LaNuit first released Ton Fantôme in 2003, before taking a rockier turn with Il Etait Temps in 2006. In 2009, Comme un Chien , widely supported by Radio France, enabled Gaspard LaNuit to reap the first rewards of his work. La Trêve in 2012 represents a new satisfaction for an artist who is building his universe step by step.
