With his dark themes and obscure background, Louis Ville is more a man of the stage than of the media. He prefers to share his universe with audiences rather than draw up promotional plans for his albums. After making his debut in Lorraine and with a group in 1990, Louis Ville embarked on a solo career in 1999. The album Hôtel Pourri set the tone for a repertoire somewhere between Arno, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine and Jacques Higelin, or even the darker side of Alain Bashung. Such references were not enough to help him break through, however, and his albums Une Goutte in 2003 and A Choisir in 2007 remained in the shadows. Louis Ville keeps busy in 2011 with ...Cinéma... and an extensive tour.
