Giorgos Sabanis (May 15, 1983) is a Greek singer-songwriter who pursued his passion of music following a successful career as a 100m track running athlete, appearing at the 2004 Olympic Games opening ceremony. In 2007, Sabanis released his debut single “Kapou Allou Ki Ohi Edo,” followed by first album Haramata in 2008. Replicating the success of his athletics career, he signed to Cobalt Music in 2011 and released his third album Mistirio Treno that same year. His 2013 single “Den Eimai Iroas” was certified gold and his popularity has only increased in the years that followed with a number of MAD Video Music Award wins in his home country, and several multi-platinum records. His music career reached a new high in 2016 with Logia Pou Kaine, which topped the Greek charts and went quadruple platinum. Subsequently, Giorgos Sabanis scored another Number 1 record with his seventh album Paraxena Demenoi (2019), and his 2021 single “Kati San Asteri” entered the Greek Top 10 at Number 9.
