GloRilla

The hip-hop artist GloRilla became a commercial force in 2022, charting Top 40 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with "F.N.F. (Let's Go)," "Blessed," and the Cardi B duet "Tomorrow." She was born as "Gloria Hallelujah Woods" in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 28, 1999. Initially hoping to be a singer, she switched musical directions as a teenager and began rapping instead, with Most Likely Up Next marking her official debut in 2019. The mixtape was independently released, as was its 2020 follow-up, P Status. Virtually unknown outside of the hip-hop underground, GloRilla enjoyed a commercial breakthrough in 2022, with the crunk single "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" becoming her breakthrough hit. Recorded alongside producer Hitkidd, "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, Number 1 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and number 11 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, earning a Grammy nomination for "Best Rap Performance" along the way. It also appeared on her major-label debut EP, Anyways, Life's Great…, which was released later that year and reached number 11 in the US. Also charting at Number 11 was Gangsta Art, a 2022 compilation album released by the record label Collective Music Group. As a new member of the label, GloRilla contributed the song "Tomorrow" to the album. The song was remixed later that year and reissued as "Tomorrow 2," this time featuring a guest appearance by Cardi B. "Tomorrow 2" went gold during its first two months of release, becoming a number 3 hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and a number 9 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It, too, appeared on the EP Anyways, Life's Great…, giving GloRilla two mainstream hits on her first official release. The success continued with 2024's mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 while spawning the Billboard 200 hits "Yeah Glo!" (number 32) and "Wanna Be" (number 11). This was followed by her first proper album Glorious (2024), which reached the fifth place in the Billboard 200 (number 2 in the R&B/Hip-Hop charts), comprising collaborations with Latto, T-Pain, Megan Thee Stallion, Fridayy, BossMan Dlow, Sexxy Red, Muni Long, Kirk Franklin, Kierra Sheard and Maverick City Music.
