Born on October 29, 1988 in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala, Indian composer, singer, and violinist Govind Vasantha is a mainstay of Malayalam and Tamil films, who is also a founding member of Kerala-based band, Thaikkudam Bridge. He stepped out into film composing with the background score for the 2012 Indian Malayalam-language action film Asuravithu, and continued to build on his filmography over the next few years. Composing songs for 2015 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy 100 Days of Love, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil for his work on the 2018 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film 96. A Telugu-language remake of the film came in 2020, under the new title of Jaanu, while during 2021 and 2022 he worked on several Malayalam and Tamil projects including the web series Navarasa.
