Regional Mexican ensemble Grupo Firme came together in 2014 in Tijuana, Baja California. Founded by singer Eduin Cazares and accordionist Jairo Corrales, the band started out performing Norteño music but eventually began incorporating elements from the brass-heavy banda genre in later releases. Even though their studio debut, 2017's Pasado, Presente, Futuro failed to make a splash in the local music scene, it did help set the stage for subsequent albums like El Barco and En Vivo Desde Tijuana: los Buitrones y los Firmes, both released later that year. Their big break came in 2021 when their third studio album Nos Divertimos Logrando lo Imposible was named Regional Mexican Album of the Year at the Premios Juventud and took home a Latin Grammy award for Best Banda Album. That year, they also won five out of six nominations at Univision's Lo Nuestro Awards and their live single "Ya Supérame (En Vivo)" reached Number 29 on the Mexico Popular Airplay chart. Enfiestados y Amanecidos, their fourth LP, appeared in 2022.
